Charity bullock sale raises $9,521 for Royal Flying Doctor Service

Producer Frank Blacklock has donated four Brahman heavy bullocks to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) following a serious medical emergency. After being gored by a bull at Woolston station in northwest Queensland, Mr. Blacklock required emergency surgery and was evacuated to Townsville Hospital by the RFDS.

The donated cattle were sold through Nutrien Ag Charters Towers and Kennedy Livestock at a sale in Charters Towers. The bullocks, weighing 515kg each, sold for 462c/kg, raising a total of $9,521 for the RFDS. Mr. Blacklock noted that the donation was a way to give back to the essential service that provided his emergency medical care.
