Charity cycling events in the Netherlands raise record funds

Charity cycling events in the Netherlands have achieved significant fundraising milestones. The Coast to Coast Challenge 2026 raised a record 282,596 euros for the Nierstichting. During the 500-kilometer ride from Zoutkamp to Zoutelande, 168 participants braved harsh autumn weather to fund research into improving dialysis treatments and raising awareness about salt consumption.

Additionally, the Cross for the Crocus event raised a record 51,000 euros during its most recent edition. The funds were distributed to organizations including Centrum Poppy's, Stichting Op Den Alpe Rijen, and KWF. The event, which features mountain biking and gravel riding routes starting from the Jacobushoeve in Dorst, is preparing for its sixteenth edition on February 21, 2027, under new leadership by Jeroen Meerburg.
