Charity efforts provide food aid in Chiapas and Nuevo Laredo
In Chiapas, members of the First Baptist Church of Tapachula distributed approximately 400 meals to members of the “Sin Fronteras” migrant caravan. The group, consisting of Honduran nationals traveling to find better living conditions, received food such as eggs, beans, and tortillas while resting in the border city before continuing their journey north.
In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, the “Caravana de la Esperanza” collected non-perishable food and monetary donations to support vulnerable families. Organized by the Cáritas Foundation of Nuevo Laredo as part of the national “Alimenta” campaign, the event involved participation from educational institutions, civil organizations, and government agencies to bolster the local food bank.
