Charity events in Segovia and Azuqueca support breast cancer awareness

Several charity events are scheduled for October 18 in Spain to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer support and research.

In Segovia, the Fundación Caja Rural de Segovia will host the 15th edition of the Caja Rural Popular Race and Solidarity March against Cancer. The event aims to support the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Segovia, with 100% of registration fees donated to research, prevention, and patient support. Since 2019, the event has raised nearly 97,000 euros. This year’s edition is represented by Cristina Rubio Merino.

In Azuqueca de Henares, the local City Council is organizing the fifth edition of the March against Breast Cancer. The event will feature workshops, Zumba, and activities for children. Proceeds from the sale of commemorative t-shirts, priced at 8 euros, will be used to fund local projects for cancer patients and their families. Organizers have set a goal to sell 1,500 shirts to support the cause.
