Charity Food Events Support Communities in Mogi das Cruzes and Goiânia

On 30 August, the Bar do Márcio in Mogi das Cruzes hosted the second edition of the Lanche Solidário, directing 100 % of ticket sales to three local NGOs – ARCA, Casa Cirineu and Creche São José Operário. Organisers highlighted the event’s role in strengthening education, elder‑care and social‑inclusion projects for vulnerable families, expecting hundreds of attendees.

On 19 July, Goiânia’s Centro de Cultura e Eventos at the Federal University of Goiás held the third Risoto Solidário. Sixty volunteer chefs prepared thirty variations of risotto, with all proceeds earmarked for Hospital de Câncer Araújo Jorge. The hospital serves patients from 246 municipalities and performs over one million oncology procedures annually.

Both events combined gastronomy, live music and community participation to raise funds for local social and health services.
