Charity football events raise funds for child welfare in Germany
Various football initiatives in Germany have successfully raised funds to support children and childcare facilities.
In the Neuental and Jesberg municipalities, the men's teams of SG Neuental-Jesberg donated 1,520 EUR to two local daycare centers, Hand in Hand and Lummerland. The funds were collected during a team trip to Mallorca in June and were officially presented to the facilities and local mayors on October 28, 2026.
In Karlsruhe, the TechniData IT Group organized the “Tore für Kinder” (Goals for Children) benefit tournament at the Sportschule Schöneck. The event featured eight teams competing for a cause, ultimately raising 4,000 EUR for the German child protection foundation Hänsel+Gretel. The foundation uses these funds to protect children from physical, psychological, and sexual violence and to strengthen the well-being of youth across Germany.
