Varaždin hosts March for Life to advocate for unborn protection

Pro-life demonstrators held the “Hod za život” (March for Life) in Varaždin, Croatia, marking the conclusion of a series of events held across 19 Croatian cities. Under the slogan “The first step is the law! Life is a gift, protect it with a just law!”, participants advocated for the legal protection of the unborn from conception.

Organizers, including coordinator Mišo Džeko, criticized Croatia’s current abortion laws, which date back to 1978 under the communist regime, calling them outdated. They demanded a social dialogue to establish new legal frameworks based on science and humanity rather than personal convenience.

In Slovenia, the “Pohod za življenje” (March for Life) is scheduled to take place in Ljubljana. The event aims to support mothers in distress and unborn children, with organizers noting that approximately ten unborn children are lost in Slovenia every day.
