Charity initiatives conducted across Indonesia

Various social charity initiatives were conducted across Indonesia on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Korlantas Polri organized a ‘Jumat Sedekah’ program, distributing basic food supplies to scavengers at the Rawajati landfill in South Jakarta. The police initiative also extended to Bogor, where activities took place at a highway rest area, and Purwakarta, where five water tanks were provided to residents facing drought conditions in Pasawahan Village.

In Medan, the KSJ Pusat journalist team carried out a similar Friday charity drive. The group distributed 15 sacks of rice and numerous packed meals to underprivileged citizens and street vendors along Jalan Sumarsono, Gaperta, Helvetia, and the Klambir V area.
