Charity races organized to support disaster victims in Spain and Colombia
Two upcoming sporting events are being held to raise funds for victims of recent disasters. In Antequera, Spain, the “Ruta 091” charity race scheduled for October 31 will proceed with a focus on solidarity and competition. Following a tragic railway incident and a period of regional mourning, organizers have decided to cancel the Halloween-themed animations and the final party, maintaining only the competitive races for children and adults.
In Anapoima, Colombia, the Cundinamarca Half Marathon scheduled for November 21 and 22 will dedicate 30% of registration proceeds to those affected by the earthquake on August 10. The event expects up to 10,000 participants across various distances, including 5K, 10K, and 21K races. The initiative also aims to boost regional tourism and the local economy through accompanying commercial, gastronomic, and cultural fairs.
