Charity Running Events Held in Brazil Support Women's Safety and Disability Inclusion

On Sunday, 2 August, the 1st Battalion of the Mato Grosso do Sul Military Police organised the "Corra por Elas" 5 km race and a 3 km walk in Campo Grande as the kickoff of the national August Lilás campaign against violence toward women. The event offered cash prizes for top finishers and highlighted the partnership with the Programa Mulher Segura (PROMUSE) to promote reporting and protection for women.

Later in the week, the Associação Comercial e Industrial de Limeira launched the 5th edition of the Corrida Florescer in Limeira’s Horto Florestal. The race, scheduled for 30 August, will channel part of its registration revenue to the local APAE Limeira, aiding people with intellectual and multiple disabilities. The launch introduced new ambassadors – André Lossolli, Elaine Francisco Sebastião (Laine), and Dr Tatiane Marcelino – to promote community participation and the health benefits of sport.
