Charity running events held in Villadiego and Villanúa

Several charity sporting events took place in Spain. In Villadiego, the 14th edition of the Travesía Nocturna ‘Me tomo las de Villadiego’ drew 750 participants. Runners and hikers chose between routes of 7.3 and 11.1 kilometers. The proceeds from the event are designated for ASPAYM Castilla y León.

In Villanúa, the 21st Subida a la Fuente del Paco saw over 300 participants. The event served a charitable purpose, with registration fees being donated to municipalities affected by the Peñas de Riglos fires. Álvaro Osanz won the men's absolute category with a time of 50:07, while Ana Revilla secured a victory in the women's category. The event included a minute of silence to honor Javier García, a member of the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) who died in the line of duty during firefighting efforts.
