Charity runs in Poland support oncology patients and prevention

Various charity running events in Poland are being held to support oncology patients and promote cancer prevention.

In Supraśl, approximately 800 people participated in the eighth OnkoRun. The event featured distances of 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km to encourage physical activity among patients, medical staff, and the local community. The initiative celebrated the anniversary of the Białystok Oncology Center and included educational booths focused on cancer prevention and nutrition. A Formula Student racing car built by students from the Białystok University of Technology was also present at the event.

In Rakszawa, the second edition of the ‘Bieg Raka’ (Cancer Run) mini-marathon took place. The event aimed to combine sport with local community engagement, featuring hand-painted stones created by local students as souvenirs. These stones included QR codes linking to regional tourism websites to promote the Podkarpackie region.
