Charl Schwartzel penalized after fish swallows ball at LIV Golf

During the LIV Golf tournament at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, South African golfer Charl Schwartzel experienced a rare incident when a fish swallowed his ball. After hitting his shot on the seventh hole, the ball rolled off the green and into a nearby pond, where it was subsequently consumed by a fish.

Following an analysis of the situation, Schwartzel was assessed a one-stroke penalty under official rules. He finished the par-3 seventh hole with a bogey. Despite the unusual mishap, Schwartzel completed the tournament in 22nd place, tied with Victor Perez.

In the same event, Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann secured the victory with a total score of 16 under par, marking his ninth individual title since joining the LIV circuit.
