Charlamagne Tha God to join justice reform summit in New York

Radio personality and mental health advocate Charlamagne Tha God is participating in the fourth United Justice Coalition Summit, held on October 17 at The Shed in New York City. The free event, hosted by Roc Nation, aims to connect attendees with advocates working on policing, prison conditions, mental health, and reentry barriers.

Charlamagne’s involvement aligns with his work through the Mental Wealth Alliance, a nonprofit focused on expanding mental health care access for Black communities and training more Black mental health professionals. He has previously moderated discussions regarding the use of mental health teams in crisis response to reduce arrests and the use of force.

In addition to his justice reform work, Charlamagne continues to emphasize the importance of community and real-life connection in an era dominated by social media. Through the Mental Wealth Alliance and the Black Effect Podcast Network, he hosts events designed to provide free resources and foster community engagement.
