Charles Dale Memorial International School in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, secured 41 medals – 9 gold, 4 silver and 15 bronze – plus 13 honourable mentions at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad held in Rome from 2‑8 July. Six of its students earned top global rankings in the DIY Plane Challenge, with three finishing second and another three third worldwide.

The school’s recent success follows a record of international achievements, including a world‑champion title in coding for student Julio Ojiaku at the 2025 Olympiad in Barcelona and 42 recognitions that year. In 2024, competitors placed second globally in The Hague, and the institution first appeared on the world stage at the 2023 World Robot Olympiad in Panama City. These results reflect the school’s emphasis on education that extends beyond classroom examinations, focusing on critical thinking, innovation and real‑world problem solving.
