Charles Huff prepares for University of Memphis football debut

Charles Huff is set to lead the University of Memphis football program in his debut season, beginning with a game against UNLV. Hired by athletic director Ed Scott to succeed Ryan Silverfield, Huff brings experience from coaching roles at Southern Miss, Marshall, Penn State, and Alabama.

Huff has established a mission to ‘close the gap’ between the Memphis program and the major power conferences, such as the SEC and Big 10. The upcoming season is marked by renewed optimism following talent acquisitions through the transfer portal and renovations to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
