Charles Leclerc analyzes missed chance to overtake Max Verstappen in Singapore

Charles Leclerc expressed regret following his second-place finish at the Singapore Grand Prix, noting that he missed opportunities to challenge Max Verstappen for the lead at the start of the race.

Leclerc observed that Verstappen appeared to have a difficult start, potentially due to energy deployment issues with the Red Bull. While Leclerc managed to pull alongside the Dutchman, he struggled with visibility and space approaching the first corner, noting that being on the left side made it difficult to see his usual braking reference points on the right.

In addition to the tactical positioning, Leclerc suggested he might have benefited from more aggressive battery usage to exploit Verstappen's early-lap energy struggles. Despite the missed chance for a win, the Ferrari driver secured his first podium since the summer break, finishing seven seconds behind Verstappen.
