Charles Leclerc ashamed after qualifying crash at Catalonia Grand Prix
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed into a tyre barrier during the final qualifying session (Q3) for the Catalonia Grand Prix, leaving him to start the race from tenth place. Leclerc said, "Po takim wypadku po prostu jest mi wstyd tu być" ("After such a crash I am simply ashamed to be here"). This incident follows a similar crash in Monaco two weeks earlier.
Lewis Hamilton qualified on pole for the same race, with Mercedes teammates occupying the front row. Leclerc acknowledged the mistake, noting his frustration and shame over the error, but expressed optimism about the race performance.
The incident highlights ongoing challenges for Leclerc and Ferrari as they seek to improve qualifying results ahead of the Sunday race at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.
