Charles Leclerc discusses Ferrari contract restrictions on risky activities
Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has discussed the contractual restrictions placed on drivers regarding leisure activities and risk management. Speaking on the sidelines of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Leclerc noted that while he is not a child, certain activities are discouraged by his team to mitigate injury risks.
Leclerc specifically identified skydiving as an activity that is “not recommended” by Ferrari. He mentioned that a previous attempt at the sport did not leave the team with positive memories, leading him to avoid it.
Regarding skiing, Leclerc described it as a matter of personal responsibility rather than a strict ban. He manages the risk by adjusting his participation in such sports based on the timing of the racing season, engaging in riskier activities immediately after the season ends and reducing them as the new season approaches.
