Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc calls for urgent upgrades after Baku GP

Following a disappointing Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has called for immediate action to address the team's lack of raw pace. Despite securing pole position in qualifying, Leclerc finished fourth in the race, while teammate Lewis Hamilton finished sixth.

Leclerc noted that rivals McLaren and Red Bull Racing have made significant performance gains through recent upgrade packages, whereas Ferrari has struggled with straight-line speed and chassis performance. He emphasized that the team must react quickly to avoid falling further behind in the championship.

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur confirmed that developments are in the pipeline, promising that upgrades will arrive “soon.” During post-race interviews, Leclerc also inadvertently revealed that his car was utilizing the latest ADUO-2 power unit specification, a detail that appeared to cause brief concern for his press officer.
