Charles Leclerc inaugurates new civic center in Imola

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc inaugurated a new multifunctional civic center in Spazzate Sassatelli, Imola, on September 15, 2026. The project, built on the site of former schools, represents a total investment of nearly 530,000 euros.

The facility was funded largely through donations from Leclerc, following a record-breaking charity auction of his personal racing gear held after the devastating floods that struck the Emilia-Romagna region in May 2023. During the ceremony, which included local officials such as the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Michele de Pascale, and the Mayor of Imola, Marco Panieri, Leclerc expressed his emotional connection to the area, noting that seeing the flood damage had “broken my heart.”

The new 128-square-meter building features a multipurpose hall, a small room, restrooms, and a thermal plant. A commemorative plaque signed by the driver was also unveiled to honor his contribution to the community's recovery.
