Charles Leclerc urges Ferrari to stay aggressive after Hungarian GP
Charles Leclerc said Ferrari must remain aggressive in its development programme, calling the team's performance at the Hungarian Grand Prix "strange" and highlighting the inconsistency of the SF‑26 car. He urged the Scuderia to continue rolling out bold upgrades to close the gap to rivals.
Ferrari finished fourth and fifth in Hungary and trails Mercedes by 72 points in the Constructors' Championship. The team has already introduced large aerodynamic packages in Miami and Barcelona and a new power unit in Austria, taking advantage of the 2026 regulation overhaul that returns greater downforce generation to the wings and reduces the floor effect.
Leclerc noted that Lewis Hamilton sits second in the Drivers' standings, 50 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli, and stressed that each race must be approached individually. Team principal Fred Vasseur has reportedly barred any talk of a "world championship fight" within the garage as the season heads into its final dozen races.
