Charles Leclerc returns to Sepang for F1 qualifying

Charles Leclerc returns to the Sepang International Circuit for Formula 1 qualifying, marking a significant milestone nine years after his brief appearance at the track in 2017. During that initial session, Leclerc was a 19-year-old driver for the Ferrari Driver Academy, completing only ten laps in a Sauber during a rainy practice session.

In the current qualifying session, Leclerc secured fourth place on the grid, moving up from fifth following a penalty issued to Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar. While Leclerc noted he struggled with rear grip and oversteer during the final qualifying stages, he praised teammate Lewis Hamilton for an exceptional lap. Leclerc expressed optimism regarding Ferrari's competitiveness for the upcoming race.
