Charles Spencer's new memoir sparks tension in Royal Family

Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana, has released a new memoir titled ‘Swan Song – My Sister, Diana’ which has caused significant tension within the British Royal Family.

In the book, Spencer claims that before her marriage to Prince Philip, a young Queen Elizabeth II had feelings for his father, John Spencer. He suggests that Lord Mountbatten intervened to ensure Philip became the Queen's husband. Additionally, the book touches upon the marriage between Princess Diana and King Charles III, as well as the King's handling of her death.

Reports indicate that Queen Camilla is reportedly ‘furious’ over the publication, as she seeks to move past her historical image. Buckingham Palace issued a rare indirect rebuttal, stating that while they do not comment on books, they believe ‘the pain of brotherly grief can cloud reason’ and affect how memories are recalled. King Charles III and Prince William are also said to be angry regarding the claims made in the memoirs.
