Charlesbank Capital Partners expands wealth management investments

Charlesbank Capital Partners, a New York-based middle-market private equity firm, is actively participating in the rapid consolidation of the wealth management industry. Managing director David Katz oversees the firm’s financial services investing strategy, which focuses on building Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) institutions.

Since launching a thematic wealth management initiative in 2020, Charlesbank has made several key investments. These include Lido Advisors, a high-net-worth RIA with over $46 billion in assets under management, acquired in early 2021. The firm also invested in Pensionmark (now World Investment Advisors) in 2022, and Rise Growth Partners, an RIA growth accelerator, in January 2024. Additionally, Charlesbank holds a stake in the UK-based Perspective Financial Group.
