Charli XCX joins Martin Scorsese film What Happens at Night

Pop star Charli XCX is set to make a cameo in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Gothic psychological drama, ‘What Happens at Night’. The film, produced by Apple and StudioCanal, features a high-profile ensemble including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, who portray an American married couple traveling to a small European town to adopt a child.

As the couple navigates the adoption process in a remote, snowy setting, they encounter a series of enigmatic characters in a deserted hotel. The supporting cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson, Jared Harris, and Welker White. The project is an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s 2020 novel, with a screenplay by Patrick Marber.

This collaboration marks a continuation of the relationship between Charli XCX and Scorsese, who previously appeared on the cover of her album ‘Music, Fashion, Film’. The singer has significantly expanded her film credits over the last two years, appearing in seven projects including ‘The Moment’ and ‘Faces of Death’. No official release date has been announced for the film.
