Charlie Cox to star in London play ‘The King’s Ransom’

Actor Charlie Cox is set to lead the new play ‘The King’s Ransom’ at London’s Donmar Warehouse. Written by Stuart Slade and directed by Matthew Dunster, the production is scheduled to begin previews on December 5, with an official opening on December 16, running through February 6, 2027.

Set in 1977 Memphis, the story follows Vince Black, played by Cox, a small-time criminal who attempts to kidnap the corpse of Elvis Presley to collect a million-dollar ransom. The ensemble cast includes Blake Harrison, Tom Fletcher, Matthew Flynn, Leo Patrick, Jenny Rainsford, Christopher Short, Cherrelle Skeete, Ronnie Yorke, Ruby Barker, Eira Kay, and Trixie Willis.
