Charlie Curnow wins third Coleman Medal

Charlie Curnow has won his third Coleman Medal, becoming one of the few players in AFL history to achieve the feat. The Sydney Swans spearhead finished the home and away season with 69 goals, securing the award after kicking three goals against North Melbourne in the final round.

This victory marks Curnow's first Coleman Medal since moving to the Swans from Carlton, where he previously won the award in 2022 and 2023. He is the first player to win the medal in his first season at a new club since Lance Franklin in 2014. Brisbane's Logan Morris finished second with 63 goals, followed by Ben King (60), Jack Gunston (59), and Jye Amiss (58).

While celebrating the individual achievement, Curnow credited his teammates for the season's success. The award comes amidst significant challenges for the Sydney Swans, as five players—Riley Bice, Nick Blakey, Isaac Heeney, James Jordon, and Chad Warner—face season-long suspensions following an incident in Melbourne currently under police investigation.
