Charlie Hunnam to lead ‘Sons of Anarchy’ cast reunion in new FX series

The core cast of the series ‘Sons of Anarchy’ is set to reunite for a new FX limited series titled ‘Legends’. Unlike a traditional sequel, the project is a meta-thriller where the actors portray fictionalized versions of themselves.

Developed by Charlie Hunnam, who will also serve as an executive producer and co-writer, the series features Jonathan Groff as showrunner. The plot begins when the former cast members meet at a fan convention, only to face a real-world threat that blurs the lines between their television history and reality.

Returning cast members include Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi. Actor Theo Rossi noted that the project was born from a mutual desire between the cast and the fanbase to see the group back together, providing a creative alternative to a standard prequel or sequel.
