Charlie Kirk memorial statue vandalized in Phoenix

A memorial statue of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized with red paint outside the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The eight-foot statue, which was unveiled on September 10 to mark the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s fatal shooting in Utah, was defaced on the neck and face, with a crude face drawn on its chest.

A sign at the base of the monument was also targeted; religious text and imagery were defaced with the word “Satan” scrawled across the display. Phoenix police confirmed they responded to calls regarding the incident on Sunday morning.

Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow and current CEO of Turning Point USA, vowed to restore the statue and the damaged signage. She stated that the organization is reviewing footage of the incident and working with law enforcement. The suspect in Kirk’s original assassination, Tyler Robinson, has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
