Charlie Musselwhite and GA-20 Release Blues Album 'Blues Now

Legendary harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite has teamed with Boston‑based blues band GA‑20 to issue the new album Blues Now on New West Records. Produced by GA‑20 guitarist Matthew Stubbs, the ten‑track set blends classic blues covers – including Willie Dixon’s “Crazy Love,” Elmore James’s “I Can’t Hold Out,” and the band’s rendition of “Cristo Redentor” – with a few selections from Musselwhite’s 1968 debut. A video for “Cristo Redentor” was released alongside the album.

The collaboration will debut on CBS Saturday Morning, where Musselwhite and GA‑20 will perform together, and the group will embark on an extensive tour. The itinerary starts in the United States with dates in New York, New Hampshire, Michigan, Minnesota, Kentucky and other venues, before moving to European stops in Prague, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic through October.
