Charlie Shahin acquires 1.29 million‑hectare Jumbuck Pastoral stations in Australia

South Australian businessman Charlie Shahin has purchased three pastoral stations from Jumbuck Pastoral, covering a total of 1,289,700 hectares (about 3.19 million acres). The properties include Bulgannia Station, located 175 km southwest of Coober Pedy, and Commonwealth Hill, the second‑largest sheep station in Australia.

The transaction forms part of the MacLachlan family’s succession plan to divide its historic Jumbuck Pastoral empire, which once spanned 5.2 million hectares across the country. No sale price was disclosed.
