Charlie Woods fails to advance beyond secondary cut at Junior PGA Championship
Charlie Woods, the 17‑year‑old son of Tiger Woods, competed in the Junior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch in Frisco, Texas. After a 2‑under‑par 70 in the second round, he made the initial 36‑hole cut, tying for 46th place.
In the third round, Woods shot a 5‑over‑par 77, dropping his total to six over par and missing the secondary cut at even par. The tournament’s leaders included Kailer Stone of Alameda, who posted a 5‑under‑par 67 to remain atop the leaderboard, and Theodore Snyder of Gig Harbor, who was two strokes behind.
Woods had previously tied for ninth in the event last year and had missed the match‑play stage of the U.S. Junior Amateur a week earlier.
