Charlie Woods advances after strong second round at Junior PGA Championship

Seventeen‑year‑old Charlie Woods, the son of Tiger Woods, posted a 2‑under‑par 70 in the second round of the Junior PGA Championship in Frisco, Texas, moving into the cut by two strokes. The round left him tied for 46th at 1‑over 145, securing a place among the top 60 and ties for the final two rounds.

Woods opened with a 3‑over‑par 75 but recovered with pars and birdies on holes 9 and 18, finishing the day with 13 pars and two birdies. He joined fellow competitors such as Kailer Stone, who led with a 5‑under 67, and Theodore Snyder, who was one stroke behind.

The performance follows Woods’ tie for ninth in the same event last year and a recent playoff loss at the U.S. Junior Amateur.
