Seventeen‑year‑old Charlie Woods, the son of Tiger Woods, competed in the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After missing the cut by one stroke, he entered a playoff for the final two spots in match play. On the first playoff hole, a bogey on a par‑5 after his tee shot landed in thick rough and a missed chip ended his run.

Woods, a Florida State commit for the 2027 season, had previously posted scores of 76‑70 in stroke play and was ranked No. 174 by the American Junior Golf Association. His elimination marked the end of his junior championship appearance this year.
