Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet’s second feature film, ‘La Vie d’une femme’, has been selected for the official competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

The film follows Gabrielle, a dedicated facial reconstructive surgeon portrayed by Léa Drucker. The narrative explores the intense pressures of her professional responsibilities as a department head in a public hospital and the subsequent impact on her personal life, including her marriage to Henri, played by Charles Berling, and her role within a blended family.

Described as an impressionistic and realistic portrait, the film uses a chapter-based structure to examine themes of identity, professional devotion, and the sudden emergence of desire through Gabrielle’s encounter with a writer named Frida.
