Charlize Tibom dies at 20 after battle with leukemia

Charlize Tibom, a 20-year-old from Avesta, has passed away following a battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She had lived with the aggressive blood cancer for approximately ten months.

During her illness, Tibom shared her daily life and experiences on social media, receiving significant support from followers. In early October, she was informed that medical treatments could no longer be offered and that she had only weeks to live. Shortly before her death, she married her partner, Oscar. Tibom had expressed a desire to make the most of her remaining time and stated she was not afraid of death, noting that she had done everything she could.
