Charlotte communities observe 25th anniversary of 9/11

Communities in Charlotte, North Carolina, held various observances to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. At Romare Bearden Park, residents gathered for a visual tribute featuring American flags and lights of remembrance to honor those lost in the attacks.

Queens University of Charlotte also conducted a multi-day commemoration focused on service and unity. Led by alumnus and U.S. Army veteran Darryl White Sr., more than 150 volunteers contributed over 250 hours to local community initiatives. These efforts included assembling hygiene kits and cleaning supplies for Bridge Home and providing food and personal care items for the shelter Roof Above.
