Charlotte Flair credits Alexa Bliss partnership for career success

Charlotte Flair has credited her partnership with Alexa Bliss as the best year of her professional career. Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s ‘What’s Your Story’, Flair revealed that both she and WWE creative initially had reservations about the pairing.

Flair noted that the primary concern for WWE was the contrasting audience reception for the two athletes, as Flair had been performing as a highly disliked figure while Bliss remained a fan favorite. Bliss had personally pitched the idea to WWE, arguing that their history of competing against one another would create a compelling dynamic.

Flair explained that the success of the team stemmed from the fact that neither wrestler had to carry the other. Instead, she believes their individual star power and opposing personas allowed them to ‘brighten each other’ rather than simply lifting one another up.
