Charlotte Hornets expand broadcast reach via DAZN and local TV deals
The Charlotte Hornets have announced a multi-faceted broadcasting expansion for the 2026-27 NBA season, aimed at increasing accessibility across the Carolinas and beyond.
Through a new streaming partnership with DAZN, 75 regular-season games will be available to fans. DAZN will stream 71 of these games exclusively on its platform, while four additional contests will be available through national TV providers. This deal makes the Hornets the ninth NBA franchise to join the platform. The agreement includes a shared advertising revenue model and a potential exit clause for the team to join the NBA’s aggregated streaming hub in the 2027-28 season.
Simultaneously, the team is expanding its free, over-the-air television reach through agreements with Gray Media and Sinclair. This expansion will bring games to eight additional markets across North and South Carolina, as well as Roanoke, Virginia. These broadcasts will include pregame and postgame programming and will be available via participating cable and satellite providers in addition to free airwaves.
