Charlotte Hornets face fan backlash over Play-In net framing

The Charlotte Hornets are facing criticism from fans after the organization showcased a framed net from their NBA Play-In Tournament victory over the Miami Heat. The gesture, featured in a behind-the-scenes video series titled ‘Reel Access’, has been mocked on social media as an attempt to overstate the team's progress despite a lack of postseason success since re-entering the league in 2004.

On a more positive note for the franchise, German rookie Hannes Steinbach emerged as a standout performer during a difficult Summer League campaign. Despite the team finishing with a 1-4 record, Steinbach impressed with strong rebounding and finishing, including a 27-point, 15-rebound performance against the Milwaukee Bucks and a 22-point, 11-rebound game against the Sacramento Kings.
