Charlotte Volleyball loses multiple matches at Southeastern Showdown

Charlotte Volleyball faced a difficult stretch during the Southeastern Showdown, losing multiple matches against regional opponents.

On Friday, the 49ers fell to LSU in a three-set sweep (25-16, 25-20, 25-23) in Baton Rouge. Following that match, they traveled to Hammond to face Southeastern Louisiana, where they lost in four sets (25-18, 25-23, 13-25, 25-17). Clara Briley and Elena Kovacevic led the offensive effort for Charlotte, combining for over half of the team's 87 kills during the day.

On Saturday, Charlotte concluded the tournament with a 3-0 sweep loss to Texas Southern. Despite an 8-0 run in the second set that briefly gave Charlotte a 17-13 lead, Texas Southern responded to secure the victory and their first win of the season.
