Charlton Athletic targets midfielder Jordan Holsgrove

Scottish 26‑year‑old midfielder Jordan Holsgrove, currently on contract with Portuguese side Estoril, has attracted interest from several English Championship clubs. Charlton Athletic, managed by Nathan Jones, are among the teams monitoring him, alongside three other Championship sides and German club Werder Bremen.

Holsgrove has made 100 appearances in Portugal’s top division, scoring one goal and providing eight assists in his most recent season. A product of Reading’s academy, he has previously played in Spain, Greece and Portugal after leaving the Olympiacos system. Charlton, who have already strengthened their defence with new signings, hope to add Holsgrove to their midfield before the summer transfer window closes.

No agreement has been reached yet, and with two years remaining on his contract at Estoril, a move remains possible but not assured.
