Charmaine Sheh reduces work to care for ailing mother

Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh has announced a temporary reduction in her professional workload to spend more time with her mother, who is currently recovering from an illness. Sheh shared these details while attending a promotional event for the Cancer Fund in her capacity as a ‘Pink Ambassador’.

During the event, Sheh advocated for early detection and treatment of breast cancer, emphasizing that illness is not something to be ashamed of. She noted that her mother’s recent health struggles have increased her empathy for patients and their families, highlighting the vital importance of psychological support and companionship during recovery.

Sheh also addressed several other topics, including a legal matter involving her studio regarding a fraudulent payment of 600,000 HKD, and expressed her intention to hold a private fan meeting next year to mark her 30th anniversary in the industry.
