The third edition of CharroFest 2026 took place at the Lienzo Charro de Constituyentes in Mexico City, celebrating Mexican equestrian traditions and identity. The event, which aligns with UNESCO’s recognition of charrería as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, featured music, gastronomy, and competitive displays.

Charros de Huichapan secured first place in the competition with 373 points. Tequila Don Braulio followed in second place with 351 points, and Charros de Sagrado Corazón took third.

In addition to the Mexico City festivities, a Gran Charreada is scheduled for September 12 at the Lienzo Adolfo López Mateos as part of Sport Fest 2026. This event will feature six charro teams and 10 escaramuza teams preparing for the National Tournament in San Luis Potosí, showcasing traditional skills such as coleadero and jineteo.
