Chascomús hosts agricultural research showcase at Experimental Farm

The 5th edition of the ‘Semana de Tranqueras Abiertas’ was held at the Chacra Experimental Manantiales in Chascomús, an initiative led by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Agrarian Development and INTA. The event brought together producers, students, and professionals to observe scientific research and technological trials aimed at improving regional agricultural and livestock productivity.

Research showcased at the 700-hectare facility included winter crops such as rapeseed, peas, and wheat, alongside livestock studies focused on breeding and fattening models. The site also conducts work on forage, dairy modules, animal nutrition, and the use of biological products.

Javier Rodríguez, the Minister of Agrarian Development for Buenos Aires, emphasized that experimental farms are essential spaces for innovation and training. He noted that linking scientific knowledge with the practical needs of producers is vital for ensuring the competitiveness of the province's agricultural sector.
