Chase and Capital One lead regional U.S. banking satisfaction rankings

A 2026 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction study conducted by J.D. Power, which surveyed 107,059 customers between January 2025 and January 2026, has identified top-performing banks across 15 regions.

Chase and Capital One were noted for appearing multiple times in the rankings. Regional leaders include Chase in California, Florida, the Northwest, and the Southwest; Capital One in the Mid-Atlantic and New York Tri-State; and Wintrust Community Banks in Illinois. Other regional leaders include BancFirst (Lower Midwest), Bangor Savings Bank (New England), City National Bank (North Central), Huntington (Pennsylvania), FirstBank (South Central), United Community (Southeast), Frost (Texas), and Gate City Bank (Upper Midwest).
