Chase Jackson and Busang Collen Kebinatshipi set Diamond League records

At the Diamond League final in Brussels, American shot putter Chase Jackson secured her third Diamond Trophy with a series-best throw of 21.14 meters. This performance set a new Diamond League record, surpassed the previous mark held by Jessica Schilder, and marked Jackson's personal best and a new American record. The feat is notable as it is the first time two women have thrown over 21 meters in a single season since 1990.

In the men's 400m, Botswana's Busang Collen Kebinatshipi achieved a Diamond League series record with a time of 43.40 seconds. This performance places him fifth on the all-time world list. Other notable results included Trinidad and Tobago's Jereem Richards setting a national record of 43.68 seconds.

World record holder Armand Duplantis withdrew from the pole vault competition in Brussels due to recurring groin pain, missing a highly anticipated duel with Emmanouil Karalis. Duplantis stated he made the decision during warm-ups to avoid further injury.
