Chase plans 16,000-square-foot Sapphire Lounge at Seattle airport
Chase is planning to develop a 16,000-square-foot Sapphire Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). According to Port of Seattle documents, the project involves a 15-year lease and is slated for a commission vote on Tuesday, September 22.
The proposed lounge, located in Concourse A, is expected to include amenities such as made-to-order food and drinks, shower suites, family rooms, and a signature bar. The project is part of a larger reconfiguration of airport lounge spaces. As United Airlines moves its operations to Concourse B, the existing Priority Pass-accessible ‘The Club’ lounge will relocate to the former United Club space, vacating its current footprint to make room for the Chase facility.
Chase is expected to invest approximately $70 million across the initial build-out and a midterm refurbishment. The lease is projected to generate roughly $7.9 million annually for the airport, with rent starting at $500 per square foot and scheduled 10% increases in years six and eleven.
