Chase Sapphire Preferred refresh adds new perks, retains $95 fee, and offers 100K points bonus

Chase has refreshed its Sapphire Preferred credit card. The annual fee stays at $95, and the card now provides several new benefits, including a $120 credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS every four years, a $100 annual hotel credit for bookings made through Chase Travel, a complimentary Apple TV subscription for one year, and a DoorDash DashPass membership worth $120 per year plus up to $10 off grocery orders each month. Earn rates have been updated with 5× points on travel booked through Chase, 5× on Lyft rides through September 2027, 5× on Peloton purchases, 3× on online grocery (excluding Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs), and 2× on all other travel purchases.

The most notable change is a devaluation of the World of Hyatt transfer ratio, which falls from 1:1 to 4:3 for both existing and new cardholders. New applicants can earn a welcome bonus of 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 in the first three months. The bonus is valued at roughly $1,700 when redeemed for travel. Eligibility is limited to applicants who do not already hold the card, have not received a recent Sapphire Preferred bonus, and who meet Chase's standard credit‑card criteria, including the 5/24 rule.
