Chase updates credit card lineup with new Freedom Flex features

Chase has introduced several updates and features across its credit card lineup. Notably, the no-annual-fee Chase Freedom Flex will now waive foreign transaction fees, a significant change for the card. Additional updates to the Freedom Flex include a new card design, earlier access to quarterly bonus categories, and an elevated welcome bonus. The card also features a Points Boost for select hotel bookings through the Chase Travel portal, potentially increasing point value by up to 10%.

Other products in the Chase portfolio include the Chase Sapphire Preferred, which carries a $95 annual fee but offers a $100 annual hotel credit and no foreign transaction fees. The Chase Freedom Unlimited provides a 1.5% base cashback rate on all purchases, while the Chase Slate Edge is positioned for fair-credit applicants seeking an unsecured card with no annual fee, though it maintains a 3% foreign transaction fee and a high variable interest rate.
